Greenhouse Gas Measurement in Economics and Finance
The United States is building an integrated system for measuring and monitoring greenhouse gases. The numbers it produces are already being used in financial and procurement decisions. This project worked on the economics of that: what better emissions data is worth, who benefits from it, and how those benefits and costs should be demonstrated to the people funding the measurement.
Led in the Applied Economics Office, which carries the economic analysis behind NIST’s measurement programs.
